Met a guy yesterday who claims he's been correcting bow legs for 30

years.

One exercise he gave me was as follows:
tie knees together with a belt and put pillows between feet.
hold 10 minutes a day.

This will stretch the ligaments and reverse over time from bow leg to

knock knee (eventually to straight.)
am afraid to try this, since don't see this recommended by doctors. and ligament stretching could destabilize the knee
any ideas?

Hi,

I think you should ask a doctor about this. I've never tried this, and I think that it's better to be on the safe side and consult with an orthopedist.

I hear, but this is an "unorthodox" method.

Orthopedists see scalpels. That's the paradigm they're coming from.

I still think you should ask an Orthopedist if it can cause any damage. Even if he/she doesn't think that this could work, you can still ask if it's safe...
